Was Wondering -

Insert - I was reading a thread and it stated 10.50 but - for example other info like tech link article says 10:25?

Example 1994 F250 2wd ZF 542 with 4:10 - is the rear axle a 10.25 or 10.50 ??

OBS trucks are 10.25 and SD trucks are 10.5. Some parts are interchangeable, but not sure what all is.

Just wanted confirmed info..

Anyway the 4x4wheeler link talks of a three-spider gear upgrade - says to look in article on 10.50 three-spider gear upgrade.. Can't seem to locate it at first attempts.. Was wondering if this is something that be done on the 10.25?? Do not wish to spend a lot doing a complete axle change out..

I think it can be done but I don't know of a good reason unless you have problems. I just opened mine up and changed fluid a couple weeks ago and it looks perfect in there and I work it HARD.

I use 75/140 synthetic. Make sure if you have limited slip you have a fluid with the additive or get the additive from ford. I don't have limited slip in mine.
