Yep!
(fixed it for ya)
It's interesting - fascinating enough that an old PC gamer like me will sit down and study what stuff at the forums do, from time to time.
How many points is that? I wonder what happens when this happens...
And so on - but the final analysis has always been that rep on any forum is a cute little toy.
Or it might as well be! But some folks at different times and places have taken it all deathly serious from time to time.
How silly of them. They're not like Greenstamps, you can't trade in booklets of them from time to time
Probably a good thing too! I have enough T-shirts...

I've seen on some forums where a user will go from 11 blocks of green to 11 blocks of red in a matter of minutes, just for asking a "noob" question.

A point that's interesting is how the rep points reflect on the site overall.
You can pretty much read the accepted 'code of conduct' by what people get repped FOR at a site. Can't you?
~Imagine a "Punk" site
"Dude! I can't slam your rep any further down so (F) YOU!!!"
- a place where you'd be EXPECTED to trash everyones reputation
That would be about the absolute opposite of FTE
And yet I could see a group of punkers getting into it on cell phones or whatever...
That right there is kind of a disturbed notion; Punk Rockers with high tech cell phones surfing the net...
