Well, as much as I could pound on the politicians for ruining this state (then again, Cali doesn't have the monopoly on that) we do have one feature I don't think any other state can brag about, and that is, all of the following locations; the mountains, the beach, the snow, and the desert, are all within a few hours of each other.

I can go from the coast to the summit of the Cascades, and be in the high desert in less than 3 hours here...........with a WHOLE lot less people in the way.

But our politicians are just as stoopid, and our beaches require rain gear, not bikinis.

We actually had about 8 inches on the coast. Was a freak thing and the sun came out and the kiddos went crazy. Thats been a while now- my kids have since sprouted wings. So I would have to guess it was 6 to 7 yrs ago on that one.
