Evaluating 97 F150 XLT 5.4L

I've wanted a truck for a long time. I am in target acquisition mode, and would like to buy one that I found with a nice combination of features. I'm concerned with a few things: At 68K miles, the black grille paint is faded or abraded, as are the black windshield wiper arms. The 7 pin connector at the rear bumper is faded to nearly white. I sense a slight exhaust leak under load. There is oil discoloration on the aluminum heads under the cam cover seals. Is all this what you guys would expect? I checked for door cracks and cannot see any. It's not the best condition truck I've ever seen, but it is a one owner. Carfax is clean. Thanks for any comments.

It doesn't sound too bad. I'm checking on a piston slap recall on these. I'll reply to 5.4? in this forum.

All of your black plastic trim can be brought back to life instantly with some flat black spray paint. As odd as is sounds, it makes the trim look like new when it dries.
