4R100 transmission pan- 4x4 vs 2wd

Hey. Does anyone know if theres a difference in pans on a 2002 F250 between the 4wd and 2wd models? The parts store says there are different filters, but Ford part # only shows one pan being available... Whats the deal?

My 02 is 4x4, and the pan gasket is reusable. At service, I just change the filter, wipe out the pan and bolt back up. Not sure on 2wd.

There is only one pan and one filter for all 4R100s. The E4OD had different pans and different filters between 4x4 and 4x2, but not the 4R100. The 4R100 uses the same pan and filter as the 4x4 E4OD.

I've been through this with my 2WD 2001 Excursion. Parts store catalogs are mostly wrong about this. Tell the parts store it's a 4WD and you should get the right parts. The pan gasket is the same either way. The "4WD version" has a deeper pan well and an extended pickup to reach it. If you put the "2WD" filter in, it won't reach the botttom of the pan.
