Hey Ben,

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread but my title also says "VIN certification waived". How did you get a normal title? I was told I just needed to get the car inspected at any inspection place and then re-apply for a title and I'd be good to go. Sound right to you?

Hey Killa,
There were a few anxious moments when I found out my nice "blue title" was in need of a few things before I could get plates. I think it came down to the previous owner bought it from out of state & never verfied the Vin with the DMV folks. So....

I got a safety inspection done & also paid the inspection guys $2 to
fill out a Vin Verification form - with those two docs you are good to go.
I made it easy for them & had a nice visible vin # tag in the glove compartment as my frame had a mustang II IFS installed so no Vin # would be visible there.
