The sending unit in my 86 350 is shot, the tank is beat up, and I want a new one. The one it has is the stock 19 gallon "long tank". I'd like to find a "high capacity" tank to replace it. The truck has a 12 foot lift bed on it, so I doubt if the "between the rails" tank (like JC Whitney sells) would fit (due to the lift ram). I'd even consider building a tank to mount outside the frame, but would like to see what ideas you guys have.

 

I know they sell a 16,19, and a 38 gallon. the 38 gallon I believe goes between frame rails though
