It might as long as they are both the 4R100 trans, I'm not sure when the change came about. In any case you will have to make sure the electrical wiring is all the same.
The AOD, AODE & 4R70 are very similar in appearance as well as being closely related in design. Thwere are differences in the internal gear ratios of some.
