The pic I posed was from my 97 F250 and it is not hollow thru like that. By that i mean You can cut the wing of and you will be looking at steel, not be able to look thru the block

Brad, I have looked at my '96, another '96 and a '97, all were F250's, and the blocks are all hollow...The '97 has been in my friends family since new and it is definately a stock block (it's a farm truck - and while the block looks the same, it smells WAY different).

I am not arguing the act that the block are HOLLOW. I know that. What I am saying is, if the wing is cut off you cant look thru the block

I beleive that is the outer U-bolt in this pic, so even with the wing still attached we can see through the block. And please know I am not arguing that you can't see through yours, we love these old trucks, but they all have most likely had a few components changed over the years.

I doubted the blocks on my truck were stock until it was verified it against my friend's farm truck...But in the end it doesn't matter, blocks up front - whether transfered factory blocks from the rear of a donor, or aftermarket stuff made in China, are not legit for lifting a street driven truck. To which I think we both agree.

Yes thats the U bolt and I can see mine threw the block with the wing still on also. Also think is more then you two agreeing ... Lets make that three. Can this thread die now ?
