Smile Most miles on EB??

Approaching 38,000 on my screw I got in March! Runs like a champ!

Issues so far:

-Heated seats quit somewhere in the 20,000's
-1 experience with 'limp mode' but a Ford dealer on my route was able to trace the issue back to the oil shop that didn't secure the airbox lid within minutes and had me back putting on miles.

I have 18,000 on my screw 4x4. No problems. Other than hitting a deer.

Occasionally my phone won't work thru the sync. Will have to have it looked at soon if it continues.

WOW! Great numbers guys and thanks for sharing. Your engines are with out a doubt fully broken in, how did your fuel economy pan out?

The fuel economy rise at break in was a bunch of BS. What changes I'm sure is more likely the driver who is getting over his new twin turbo pickup

If you have it in you to keep it at 60 on the hwy and soft on acceleration, you'll grab at least 20mpg all day long.

That said, I drive so much on the highway that the speeds tend to be more in the 70-90 range and 14mpg is about average, give or take. Throw down for an entire tank and she's not scared to pour through it at 12mpg either.

Installing 33" Toyo M/T's has really killed the mileage, I can't seem to get better than high 13's no matter what. Thinking a gear kit to fix what I've done may be in order.

I've been meaning to get it in the shop for the last 20k miles to complain about SYNC's crazyness with my phone. I've tried 4 different cell phones, always the same crap. When it works - it's GREAT. That said, it disconnects all the time, or says it's connected but won't function, etc etc.

Good question. I've never heard of an echo boost but moreover, I'm wondering how it's relevant to this thread.

21k miles, besides the transmission shudder when shifting from 2nd to 1st gear, and my blackberry disconnecting from synch there haven't been any problems.
I also experienced a solid kick in the pants when I put on the pro comp A/Ts 285 70.
On the highway for hundred mile stretches I have seen 14mpg all the way up to 18mpg. And this terrain appeared to be pretty level. For example: Driving from Austin to Dallas can yield much different results compared to driving from Dallas to Austin.
My overall highway average is 15mpg. I will be posting my in dash results from my Pittsburgh trip shortly. Overall I think the EcoBoost is an awesome motor, lots of fun, lots of power.

16,000 miles on mine since beginning of August. No problems at all, love the truck. Overall lifetime MPG average is hovering right around 18, with some towing and plenty of cold weather idling in the morning. Also, I pretty much always stay at 70 mph on the highway, and this is for a SCAB, 3.55, 4x4.

The only comment I have for you sync users having trouble, the only time my iPhone has disconnected from sync is if I start the truck, it instantly syncs, but then if I walk away to go back in the house or whatever I'm doing and take the phone with me, it looses the connection and it does not automatically reconnect itself. I have to go into the phone, shut bluetooth off and turn it back on. So now I fire up the truck, put the phone in the center console, then go back in the house to let it warm up, and have had no issues since.

I really need to take mine back into the shop. There's something wrong with this mileage. Any ideas what it could be? Trans could play a factor. After they reflashed it I do believe I saw an increase for a short time....

I don't believe you would come close to the same mileage as an Ecoboost if driven under the same exact conditions. I could be wrong but at least in my 2012 the Ecoboost consistently gets 18+ mpg total and 20+ on long trips...I haven't seen a 5.4L get nearly that much in the terrain and temps I drive in up here.

I've hit 7600 on my truck, no issues, still love it to death and I especially love the 17-19 mixed and the 22+ on the highway.

I'm jealous of that mileage. Congrats!

+1 Dixiedog. The 5.4 is a gas hog compared to the ecoboost. 5.4T I bet I could take that bra off with one hand... are you 18?
