WHen you turn the key on, the fuel pump should turn on for a few seconds. It may not be turning on until you start cranking, then take a couple seconds to build pressure. You should be able to turn the key on and hear the pump come on for a couple seconds. You may need to have someone operate the key while you listen to the fuel tank area.
