Re-chromed my gauge bezel

I saw the thread a while back about using a paint pen to redo the silver around the dash trim and it got me to thinking... I have the chrome glove box trim and wanted everything to match. I went to my local sign shop and bought small sheet of chromed vinyl, layed it over the whole piece and went to town with an exacto knife. It was time consuming, but the end result was WELL worth the effort.

Under $10 for the amount that I needed

I'll see if I can get a larger better quality pic up later...

That's what she said!!

I like it! Do you think you'll have any issues with it wanting to peel off in a few years?

And where'd you get the window handles? I love them!!

I hope it won't peel! According to the sign shop, this vinyl is good for outdoor use. I also went silly with the prep work. I washed the panel several times with dish soap, wiped the high spots with acetone twice, lightly sanded with 400 grit paper then rewashed. IT BETTER STICK!

The window cranks were a fleabay item. Not worth the trouble...

I'm with ya on the handles, I bought a set and they are crap... They look nice but don't fit very well and always come loose.

The vinyl came from a local sign shop.

I picked up the steering wheel form an ebay seller. I think it was $85 new...

Thanks, I won't worry about getting the cranks then with two bad reviews!

And I like the Steering wheel too, forgot to mention that.

Good job man, it looks great with the other aluminum parts you have placed within the rest of the interior.
