Ticking-Rattling-Knocking?

99 F250LD 4x4 w/ 5.4l 212k miles.
I've noticed that I've been hearing a little more ticking, rattling, knocking at
cold start in the morning. This all goes away within 5min of driving. It doesn't come back until the next time I start the engine in the morning.
Sometimes this may be 2-3 days later. The engine is running great other
than the noise early on. I know there's quite a few miles on the truck but
since I've owned it I've taken great care of it. Change the oil every 3k and
airfilter every 6. I also don't run the truck hard. I know these engines are notorious for this but a friend of mine has an 02 w/ 365k miles and the oil has probably been changed 8 times. His engine is quiet. lol. I've heard a miriad of stories about this same thing. I'm sure it's just wear and tear but should I really worry too much about it? Oil pressure gauge ( idiot gauge ) in the dash is where it has always been.

Not much to go on but just curious what oil and weight you used and what filter?
Reason I ask is there may be some corelation to wear of the cam chain tensioners.

Just a couple of bum lash adjusters can easily do this, by draining down overnight. Supposedly, the Motorcraft filters have some sort of anti drain back valve ( I think that's what they called it, not peculiar to a lot of the others.

I always use motorcraft 5-20 full synthetic oil and motorcraft filter.
I did notice the other day at the parts store that motocraft now has a 5-30.
Don't think it would help because it's only in the first few minutes that the engine
is started , not when it gets warm.
