EGT got to 1300
Headed out on a deer hunting trip this morning towing a trailer loaded with 4 wheeler and tree stands. I was going up about a mile long hill with a fairly steep grade. I was cruising along with my foot in the pedal running about 75. I was talking to my buddy and not paying attention and when I looked over at my pyro it was at 1300! It couldn't have been that high for more than a minute but now I'm worried that I may have done some damage. No signs of any damage that I can tell so far. Could it have hurt anything in that short amount of time?

What TJC said. I was PARANOID when I first got my truck, and wouldn't let the temps go over 1100. Then I lived in the mountains over the winter. EGT's hit 12-1300 often, wasn't thrilled about it, but these engines are tougher than most give them credit for (and that is saying something, especially concidering the people on this forum). When your towing a 2wd 4cyl sedan with two people/gear in it, up a 14% grade offroad in 4wd in the snow/ice with chains, you learn what your truck can handle and what it can't. Your good, just don't push it and you should never have an issue, a little spike won't kill you.
