What are these hole for?

What are these hole for?

How many times can you look at something and not see it? I'm pretty good at it.

I just noticed these two holes in my floorboard, directly back from the steering column. What are they for?

They are for rubber bumpers for the pedals. When you let off of each pedal the arm rests against it instead of hitting the floorboard. You can buy the new at Macs or Dennis carpenters

Thanks. So the bumpers mount UNDER the floor? That makes perfect sense.

Found them.

If you leave them out, don't go through any puddles.
