Those must be only in California. I have never seen anything like that around here.

Go go Google Maps and try Street View. If you can do it, Google has been there.

Well i found my house on street view, but the driveway is empty and the picture is at least 3 years old

They use all kinds of cars and trucks; I've even seen F150s being used. I've never managed to get my pic taken though for some reason

No they dont. They have a whole page about it on their site. They used to use Prius' now they use these Subarus. That's it. Any other vehicle is an imposter, which believe it or not happens.

Nope, saw one here in Cincinnati a few months ago. Drove past it actually. Never bothered to look though

They are world wide. They travel everywhere. Their goal is to photograph the whole world.

They also have bicycles (converted to tricycles) with cameras for some areas, and even some snow mobiles for arctic climates where snow mobiles rule the road.
