Looking for 1972 F100 Bed Rails - LWB

Does anyone have some or know where I can look for some?

I don't want the new "tube" rails being sold for old trucks.... I am looking for some old rails that were used on lwb f100's back then.

Thanks

Tommy

FTE member Phil105 has genuine Ford bed rails on his Styleside. Take a look at them...see if you like 'em. These are not tube rails.

I found these for him NOS, they're for 1992/96 F100/350's, but will fit all 1967/96's and while obsolete, there are still some available (for both short & long beds) from Ford Dealers/obsolete parts vendors.

If you still want 'em, lemme know, I'll post the info.

Phil also lives in GA. I think the NOS rails he bought came from a dealer in a neighboring state.

If there are NOS parts out there, Bill can find them. Good luck with yours.

I called them this morning at 9:00 and they said they do not have these rails.

Thanks for the info though and I'll keep looking.

There's a GOOD CHANCE whoever you talked to just doesn't want to look for them.
Call back again and try and get another parts man - or ask for the parts manager.

I was after several NOS parts that Bill put me onto - found that usually whoever answers the phone just doesn't want to take the time to look for these old parts.

KEEP TRYING

The dealer that has this kit (in ja jah ) website was last updated 10/09/2011.

Edit: I just spoke with Don Strickland, the parts manager of Billy Cain Ford in Commerce GA.

He said the bed rail kit is gone. He doesn't know whether it was sold, or returned to Ford for credit (which I doubt, since it's been obsolete waaay too long).

There is a 3rd possiblity that wasn't mentioned: "5 finger" discount, if y'all catch my drift.

Since Ford updates part numbers more often than women change their minds, there is prolly another part number...will see what I find, report back.

Well that changes things then. There is no chance a gentleman from ja jah would tell you wrong.

I disagree, cuz if this was 1864 and the gentleman's name was William Tecumseh Sherman, or some other damn yankee...
