we had a similar problem with a boat we bought in texas, after months of trying we reg in our home state of arkansas then brought new title to texas and it went through fine. arizona is pretty easy. could also try and have frame restamped
I was really interested about his DMV dilema as well. I think I will get the truck all tagged and legal before I start the frame swapping. I learned something today.
I haven't even gotten my trruck yet and I want to do this as well. This was nicely done. Wish he would check and give us an update. Hasn't been on since 12-21-12.
I love this truck. Awesome job. I guess this answers a lot of questions regarding the CV P71 front end track width. I wonder how this complete swap would work on a non unibody.
I've seen the greta work that was performed on the truck and looking at the same application but with a Vic, question about the width, I have a 57 big window, stepside, any pointers, suggestions, road bumps would do this Creole, (Retired Disabled Navy Vet in Houston) some good... Great Job!!!!!

Hey Rod, welcome to FTE! I'm certainly no expert and also don't know the differences in measurements of the 63 unibody vs your 57 F100 but given the fact that your 57 is a "stepside" aka "flareside" (Ford term for same thing), you might take a look at post #7 on this thread. The wide frame might give you some fitment problems with the flareside bed if the bed is too narrow. Maybe someone with more knowledge of this will chime in soon. I suspect you can start a build thread in the right area for your truck but I think it would be cool if you could give us some notice when you do so we can subscribe and watch your progress. All the best!!
Randy
after looking at that build made me think about it, I not using mamba for work, she's my girlfriend, and the CV-P71 is so plentiful that I would love to have all the luxuries in Mamba....
