Man that truck turned out great! I really like the idea of these frame swaps.

Late to the show; but I just wanted to comment on two things; WHAT AN AWESOME RIDE! Very impressive work. Second since your having potential questions about warranty data etc; I'm on my way to retrieve ya of this old truck and end any confusion.
Very cool. Great work.

Not sure if the title has much use at this point. My issue is the missing Frame VIN. I have been told that DMV wants two locations for the VIN. I only have one.

Any ideas?

I am trying not to alert the DMV numbskulls that the truck is sitting on a 2003 car

Wouldn't it be possible to give the DMV both of the VIN locations and both of the VIN's and tell them why they don't match? But, then on the other hand, I really don't think they would understand.

Stamp the vin on the frame where it normally would be

better yet cut the vin out of the original frame and weld it in the merc frame and tell them its highly modified! there is no way to recreate the original vin stamping so.... use it.

BTW, Sweet Truck!
