I am in doubt for proper alignment of the caliper brake hose for my disc conversion. The hoses came with the Speedway kit but they don't indicate whether the indent on the banjo fitting should point towards the caliper or away ftom it.

I chose to face it away, to seat better?

 

That is the way I would have mounted it because the ridge on the caliper orients and protects the fitting.
