Solution for working with Braided Stainless hose

I love the way braided stainless hose with AN fittings looks and works for different solutions.. but I hate the process of actually getting the fittings on the hose.

I did it on the green truck, and forgot how bad it was..

Well, I'm doing it again on the 56 with the EFI engine..(apparently I'm a slow learner!) connecting the power steering to the rack, for the tranny cooler lines.. and some of the high pressure fuel line.

I spent a couple hours fighting to get the #6 hose into the banjo fitting for the back of the GM pump.. wasted about a foot of the hose trying to get a good end.. This banjo is the worst I've ever had to do..

anyhow, gave up and started searching thru utube, and the web for some solution or trick.. and came up with a new tool (hurray!) released this year.

Koul Tools

their youtube video
Koul Tools - How To Build A Complete AN Hose Assembly - YouTube

and good review
Dragnet Review - Koul Tool braided line assembly tool

and all I gotta say is WOW!!.. I put the hose in the tool funnel and turned and pushed and pushed and pushed and nothing moved.. cause it was done already, all the way in on maybe the 1st turn!..

AND u can redo an end too! pull the hose out, put it back in the tool and voila.

this would be a good Autozone rental tool.. (might never come back tho)..

so, if you've wanted to use Braided stainless, but hate the fight, or thought about it and shied away cause you heard all the stories.. this might be a tool for you. The guy in the review actually innovated and used the tool to reuse hose still IN his car.. I would never have seen that option..

I have no interest in the company..
