Hi all.
Thanks for the welcomes.
And for the other MTers HI!
Here are some more pics for ya and storys.
I guess a little on my truck, I bought it when I was about 16. I then had to sell my 79 Toy 4x4 (regretted selling that ever since), but that truck was well worth it. So far I've deworktrucked it, got some used bigger meats and put headers and all the normal stuff its pretty fun truck, and It loves pullin stuff. Now shes just a driver because my stang needs new brakes.
Here's a better pic of it. ( I've removed those weird wheel well flares)
And as you seen on my first post my real baby is my torino so you guys will have to bear with me. I'm in the process of restoring it. I'm getting so close to gettin it on the street Although I bet its going to be right in the middle of winter.
Here she is before I painted it.
Motor needs painted still. But it runs soooooo smooth for an old motor, its a 1965 10.5 to 1 390 with a 4 speed.
This is what she looked like when I first got it. It had a 302 and was an auto when I bought it.
Thanks for the welcomes.

Good morning MT! Everyone give a warm welcome for our newest member Dillon (nollid172)!
On a side note, I finally met Kyle (79CAMOFORD) this weekend. Upstanding guy, super nice, AND respectable. Pretty much NOTHING like the rest of the guys on here, LOL! (Rob, cough, cough.....okay just Rob)

Morning Gerry! I finished up that C6 build yesterday and it went pretty smooth. Don't know what I was nervous about. I air checked it on the bench and everything seemed to be engaging the way it was supposed to although I did find a couple of things that were out of spec from whomever rebuilt the transmission last.

Morning Pat!
Not yet, I have to go get a filter for a 4x4, the rebuild kit only came with one for a 2WD. Hopefully this next weekend I can get it installed along with the Tcase. Im going to order up a new convertor and external cooler for it as well, I want everything to be clean and new.
Im pretty confident I can rip into the toploader and rebuild it after this. I know manuals are different animals but they seem simple compared to an auto.

Good morning Montana! Welcome to Monday, the hap-hap-happiest day of the week... NOT!
Welcome Dillon!
Now that Kyle has met Corey, Kyle probably had to go into witness protection and we'll never hear from him again.

I may end up getting new cooler lines otherwise I am going to religiously clean old ones. I will definitely pour a quart of ATF in the converter and I always make sure the she is engaged on the pump. I just spent $70 on a new one so I want to protect my investment, lol.
