Things finally slowed down enough that they're letting people go...I got laid off yesterday. Can't really cry surprised, but there's never a good time.
Anybody know of anything in the greater Kansas City area?
(I'm in manufacturing...I've been making wire for darn near 20 years...)
...all of which, of course, got me to thinking about the Ford plant in Claycomo, MO. I found five or six open positions that I'm interested in, two of which I am qualified for.
If you work for Ford: Do your job well knowing that if you don't you might hear about here on the forums. PS I wouldn't mind just happening to find out I have a "new" truck in my driveway all of a sudden.
If you work for GM: Three choices Sabotage or industrial espionage or treat it as something along the lines of a catholic priest coming to South America to convert the natives.

LOL! I'm already wondering about driving one of my four Fords to a GM plant to go to work...
It seems there isn't much of a "Brand Loyalty" anymore probably won't matter at all what you drive-- It would be just peachey if you get job though :-)
Diebold is hiring for a second line position in KC, they will let you drive a white Ford Econoline, and they will train you but at times the job can be real trying, and wear on ya, other times, its a good job still.
