Angry 7.3 psd white smoke from tail pipe

I have a 2000 7.3. Was passing in traffic the other day and then all of the sudden white smoke started comming out of the tail pipe and filled the cab (yes in the cab freaked me out !). Removed the valve covers, pulled the glow plugs and found excess pypass on #3 and 6. Replaced the injectors. Truck starts and idles fine now. On the other hand there is white smoke coming from the vent on the valve cover. Along with from the tail pipe. Not thick just noticeable. The muffler does have alot of excess oil in it and dripping from the tail pipe at this time. Pretty sure the oil is from the injector replacement. Did clear the cylinders by removing the glow plugs and cranking the engine to clear it out. Just wondering if there is something I am missing. Have not take it for a spin as of yet, did let it idle for about 20 min. with no problems noted on the gages. It idles smooth. Would like the smoke to subside before I run down the street.

Also does anyone know where I can purcahse the hold down bolts fro the injectors? One of them was slightly rounded off and needs to be replaced. Thanks for your tiime.

Can you post a video of the smoke coming out the oil fill tube when the cap is removed? With the engine running, rest the cap on the tube flat side down and see what happens. Hopefully it just vibrates around a little bit (like air hockey...) Puffs of white smoke like a choo choo train is not a good sign...

This is what you're looking for. Something like this on your truck would be normal.

Thanks for all of the replys. The cap blows right off So I take it that there is nothing else that will cause the blow BY? I removed and/ or replaced a total of 3 injectors. If one is not seated well would that also cause the blow by? Does blow by cause the white smoke?

Excess blow by is caused by worn out piston rings or a cracked piston.
Nothing else, sorry.
And that golf ball is a great idea!

No kidding, I like the golf ball idea, I'm gonna try it now myself, because my truck can't blow off the cap, but it looks like I have a little more blow by than that engine.

If it blows the cap off, its time to pull the motor.
