1995 f150 347 build

Hello All !! Awesome forum !! I am in the process of building My 302 into a 347. The motor should be out of machine shop in a few days. I would like to not open a can of worms when assembling this back into My 1995 f150. Anybody have any info or input on how much cam can be put in without computer problems? Would i use the same flow injectors with a 347? Basically all I planned to change from stock on the motor was a stroker kit cam and headers. Any and all info is greatly appreciated !! Thanks. Kevin

If your going to use the stock heads the 19# injectors should be fine , your 95 could be mass air , if it is you can run much more cam than SD , so is it MA ??

Well Im not using it as a mud puller or a race truck. Its my daily driver and snowmobile trailer puller. Just want to do it right while its all apart. Figured I would install a better cam for the extra displacement and didnt want to have computer issues. Thanks for youre input Guys!! kevin

Thanks lew. What about the egr, iac, tab, tad, thermactor.,should all of them be left on and in tact. Figured I would at least remove air pump and thermactor crossover tube from the heads since im going with headers. Thanks again. Kevin

leave the egr connected as it should be. the TAB/TAD should be connected electronicly but you can keep the vacum lines removed. This will keep the CEL from coming on. this is what i had done when i pulled my pump and associated tubing.

UPDATE !!!

Well the project has been coming along nicely!! Motor is in and running good. As far as changes made I Went with the eagle 347 stroker kit. H.O. cam and flowtek headers. Havent been able to road test it yet I figured with the new re-built motor and trans I should look at the rear end and glad I did !! Every seal was leaking except the diff cover. Indide was full of metal. The spider gear bushings were half gone and ate into the carrier. The axles are warn bad where they ride in the wheel bearing. Total fubar !! Oh well it gave me a reason to go to a posi......lol....Thanks again for all the input on here I appreciate it and wanted to give a follow up of the project. Rear end should be done in a couple days and I will post how it does. kevin

Hello Kevin,
How did this project turn out?
I am pondering doing the same upgrades to my 95 F-150.
I was wondering if the stroker / cam made a big difference in MPG?

Thanks, Thom
