Will a 302 bolt up to my four speed?

Does anybody know if a 302 will bolt up to my factory four speed transmission? Truck currently has the 223 inline six with four speed and unknown rear gears due to the glovebox tag missing. I don't know if there are different models for the four speed to give you a better idea of which one I have. It's a 1955 f100. Decoding the vin says the truck came with a v8.

The 302 won't fit to the old truck trans without a special adapter bellhousing. They don't grow on trees, and they're not cheap when you do find them. Swapping the trans with the new engine will save you a lot of trouble, time and money. You're going to have to really want the old truck 4 speed to go to that much effort.
