broke shifter linkage plz help
i have a 75 f250 with a c6 and a broke shifter linkage and im not sure how to take it of to replace it im pretty mechanically inclined and have been working on cars/trucks all my life but this is my first ford and i dont want to break anything does anyone know how to take this part off its the piece that actually bolts to the tranny any and all help will be greatly appreciated

Is this the part you're talking about?
If it is, to remove it you have to first, remove the nut that holds the kickdown arm on and remove the arm. Then drop the trans. pan and valve body. The shifter arm is held in place by a nut that IIRC takes a 7/8" wrench to loosen. Remove the nut and slide the arm out.
The trickiest part of the reinstall is getting the kickdown lever and shift arm to line up with the valve body.
