74 F250 Crew - Redneck Muscle Truck - getting close to done

You can see more pics here:
https://picasaweb.google.com/calshamus/74F250#

I'm getting real close to finishing her up. She now has ~76K miles. 460 rebuilt at 50K, Dana 44 & 60, disc up front.

Completed:
- Interior almost completely redone with FatMat, Carpet, 06 Leather power seats, steering wheel, Lokar shifter, stereo w/ iPhone hookup & Bluetooth.

- Just got the Indy slots and BF Goodrich TKO put on. Had the rims polished, then I cleared them with the POR15 - PC Glisten product.

- Installed Amp Research retracting running boards.

- Replaced front grill and inserts (Pick N Pull), clay bar whole truck, fixed some paint chips.

- New tailgate painted and Installed

- Installed slider back window

- Misc mechanical - replaced heater core, fixed AC, Installed K&N Extreme 14", rattle can the motor, full tune up,

ToDo-
- Align tailgate and install tailgate molding
- Spray bed - DIY Raptor Liner
- Need to fabricate a center console - that is a rubber tub from Ace
- Install 06 rear seat belts
- Install door pins to work the Amp running boards from back doors
- Finish rear bumper - installing in-bumper BU lights
- Hookup reverse lights - Lokar Nostalgia shifter doesn't have one!
- Undercoat & paint underside with Master Series sealer
- Want to install a bed toolbox/gas tank

Real happy with where she's at. Getting close. Can't wait to get that tailgate molding on and the bed sprayed.

Project Redneck Muscle Truck almost there boys.

How do you like that Lokar shifter and which one did you get?

Gotta love those seats!

Looks great. I have been thinking about a Lokar shifter as well. I have a C6, but it would look similar to yours. Was it fairly straight forward to install?

My 73 F100 Interior

Really cool F250... Would love to hear more on your interior...power seats. I have my truck nearly complete except for the old original bench seat which I want to replace with a 60/40 split bench. If you have any information, would appreciate any information you might have. Thanks

Sweet!

Looks awesome just wondering the paint code. Is it an original color or aftermarket? If I could just get the details on it that would be great.

Sweet rig. Nice touch painting the returns of the wheel slots. The devil is in the details!

Looks good! Are the two shifter boots molded together? It kind of looks like it in the pictures.

Love it. I'm so glad when I see a dent restored and not crushed. Might want to take a look at the body mounts in the back....looks a bit saggy in the middle. Maybe just the way it looks in the picture.

Sorry for the delay I'll answer all the questions now:
1. The Lokar Nostalgia shifter is the 16" version. It was a little difficult to install, but not impossible. The dual shifter boot (single piece of rubber) is if from a jeep, not sure what year, but it works perfectly for the application. I love the shifter. The only drawback is there is no backup switch for reverse lights, so you'll have to fabricate one yourself or install a switch. I haven't decided which way to go. Pretty lame for such a nice and expensive shifter.

2. The seats I got out of an 06 F150. I haven't modified the seats too much at this point, and only had to drill two holes in the truck to mount them. I did have to put a a section of tube on one side to level the seat. I think they sit about 2" high so I'll have to modify the seat to make perfect. PM if you need more detail.

3. It is not a stock Ford red paint. I can get the code if you want. PM if you want more detail.

4. The body mounts are fine as is the frame, etc. You can see from other pictures. There is however a bend in the bed sides from the previous JO missing the the 5th wheel bed mount thus bowing the bed sides. Not sure what to do about this yet, or even if I'll do anything about it. At some point it may become a priority.
