Ive never shot a gopher... but i have shot a rabbit with a .44 hollow point needless to say there was a poof and no more evidence...

prolly the funnest thing to me to shoot is a Buzzard especially when there circling in the sky take one out with a riffle and watch him come sailing down!

old timer told me of dropping a large goose flying over the house early in morning. BOOM 12 gauge going while everyone asleep. SMASH sound of goose force landing on roof. no damage but woke everyone right now

even if you hit him you got to wonder just where that bullet might end up afterwards, and who or what it might hit. of course in my 43 years i have never, ever, ever done anything dumb

oh wait just remembered 1 co2 cartridge packed full of gunpowder, hammered the end shut. 1 spark from the hammer and i would have prob blown my head off. hammered good and tight, tossed into dad's franklin stove in the family room. when it blew it turned the cartridge inside out blew the stove doors open and singed my eyebrows and half my head. i only found about half of it, and that was razor sharp fragment
