I watched an old John Wayne movie “The Big Trail.” Last night on Grit tv. It was mostly interesting because it was a 1930 movie. They must have had 50 large Conestoga wagons in it pulled by 6 or more animals. Some were mule team, some horses and some by oxen. I doubt a movie could be made like it today just based on the extras and equipment. Also the guns were close to being period correct for the time frame. Not like some shows set the 1850s-60s and everyone has a 1873 peacemaker and lever action cartridge rifle. Wayne was 23 when he starred in it.
It's on youtube to rent and also for free. I missed a lot of it with other stuff and I am going to watch it again where I can pause it and not miss anything.
