MICHELIN LTX MS/2 Tires
#46
Been a while since I have posted on this, but last fall I put on the new Michelin LTX MS/2's and was worried from others posts. But, so far, they are great. No wandering or any issue. I have to say they do stop better as well as I have nearly had to replace my front bumper a couple of times, but these tires I swear gave me more stopping power!
They are wearing even as well. I didn't get the front end re-aligned as the old tires were wearing well, so figured I would not forego more nightmares with folks out there that don't know how to align properly.
If I do get an alignment, I will get the Ford guys to do it. Every where I have been in the past, with my other vehicles, the tire shops screwed up the alignment. Even on my GMC. After going to dealership, they fixed it and have not had to take it back since.
Not sure why, but maybe the equipment is not tuned often or as accurate...I just can't figure it out, but that is my experience.
If it were me, I would take it to Ford and let them take a shot at it.
Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention..first few hundred miles, it was somewhat squirrely due to new tread, but after some miles, they broke in and all was well. When new, you can push on the tread with your finger and the tread seems very soft, but after some miles, it seems to firm up and ride with more stability.
