Thanks Gigger, I need to find out why last night the door locks went possed on me it locked then unlocked doing that twice and since my dad has the keyless entry I had to go outside and lock it. The battery has been going dead recently so I think it is that I know it can't be my dad for his room is to far away from the truck.

I think that happens when the key-in-ignition switch hangs up. The truck thinks the key is still in the ignition, so it won't let the doors lock. When mine did that, I slipped the key in and out of the ignition a couple of times and it cleared up.

 

That's exactly what it is. The truck thinks the key is still in the ignition. If your have the key-less entry you could also lock it on the keypad and that will clear it up.

 

Thats what I was thinking but it is a new ignition switch. Also I unfortanetly don't have the keypad thing. I wanted it but they didn't have it. The truck I was surprised of its shape for a triton V10 that is almost all stock.

I think you can "reset" it using the FOBS as well, but don't quote me on that. Both times mine has done it in the past I've used the keypad to wake it up. Keep in mind these things have several computers on them that control just about everything. Ever had a cell phone lock up on you? Same thing with the door locks.

 

Actually yall I found out what was wrong. I talked to the original owner and he said that he put a viper alarm system into the truck and it is setup so that if one of the doors isn't shut right if it locks it will automatically unlock. Well dum brothers don't know how to close thier doors and it kept doing it I went out and reshut all the doors right and it hasn't done it since. I charged the battery around noon my time. I told my brothers to take care of the truck well smart a$$ decided to close the door light enough that it wasn't fully shut. Man sometimes I want to hurt them. LOL. Anyways I looked through all the pics tonight of other trucks and personally I really like that reg cab triton v8 red. It is just amazingly beutiful. Also there was a white ext cab in my area that I saw I liked that one too.
