Ya 89LX306 thats why it is wierd because the last owner of our F250 said he bought it the way we saw it and he bought it brand new very wierd why Ford would not put emblems anywhere on the truck. (originally ours had a billet grille but the last owner thought it would look better with an 05 bumper and grille).
Sarge that square body Chevy is a very nice truck other then running condition it is falling apart. The guy that owns it really needs to fix it up.
Thanks Gigger I really like the first one of ours but I wish I backed up enough to get the grille to I have very few shots of the front end of the truck. Oh and gigger you should see our 89's with the flatbeds on them in the pre 97 picture thread.

So we bought the 2001 F250 Supercab XL a couple days ago! So excited. This is the nicest vehicle we have ever owned, and I intend to KEEP IT THAT WAY! We took a trip to Tucson Friday night and stayed the night...and yesterday went to Saguaro National Park and got some great shots in the Desert! (Live in Bisbee, AZ - 90 min away from Tuscon) I put the Autobot decal ornament on before I even drove it off the lot! LOL - I'm such a geek!

Manual Transmission
4 wheel drive
Not a lot of "comfort" options...but it's a solid vehicle...and that's what I need. You can find the original dealer write-up here:

Very nice pickup truck. I am in northern arizona myself I know where Bisbee is. That truck will take care of you if you take care of it. A good friend of mine has an 05 almost identical to that and it has been taking great care of him. Any mods you gonna put on it or just going to keep it stock?

Probably going to keep it as stock as possible. I don't have a lot of expendable income, and the payments/insurance on this one pretty much takes up the little bit I do have.
I do want to clear up a drifting/wandering issue with the steering...but don't know where to start. Taking it into the mechanic Monday or Tuesday for another inspection. Had a guy I don't go to a lot do the pre-buy inspection, and he said that all 4 ball-joints needed replacing, then the dealer's mechanic said there wasn't any problem with it. If they do need to be replaced - that's another $1000 on top of what I just put down on it.

Ya well every delarship says that to get you to buy it trust me I know. Our last 02 F250 oh nothings wrong with it carfax it bam it has been in accident. Anyways I know how you feel on a budget it is fun getting by we are paying payments on our current 02 F250 4x4 crew cab and full coverage insurance we have already paid 2 years and only owned it a year we are trying to get it paid off fast. I am trying to keep our 02 as stock as it is other then I want a few things in it to help us out with what we do and with my dad lights on the running boards would really help him see it when getting in it. I usually don't mod a truck to much only mod it for what we need it for. But on what you said about dealer is saying it has nothing wrong they usually don't know because they aren't mechanics they are sales men they try everything to get you into it thats why when we go to a delarship I hush the salesman and check everything out then talk they tend to talk more when the vehicle may have a problem.

If it does turn out to be the ball joints, you definitely should go ahead and get them replaced. You don't want them failing while you're going 70 mph down the freeway.
