I just came across this thread and I'm Very interested to know how it all turned out in the end. I have a 2004 XLT that I was thinking of lifting.

Did you do the body lift? And was it worth the effort? Any pics?

Thought I'd list my experience too. I have a 04' Expy EB 4wd. I just installed 315/70/17 BFG's under the stock suspension, no lift. I love them, it looks great. The spare 315 just barely fits in the stock location.

I used the factory 17" wheels to allow the backspacing to keep the wheels under the fender. This means less of an arc for the wheels to travel when turning and avoid contact with the edges of the fenders.

The tire guy thought I was crazy when i took him the wheels to swap out. He just kept saying, "You have 265's!"

Hi guys, I'm new to the thread but thought I'd give my input. I got an 04 expy with the 2.5" rough country lift. I have 37x13.50x18 toyo mts with 1/2" spacers and have minor rubbing. Idk how I'm doing it but I got them on there lol

Looking to lift my 2006 XLT with the ReadyLift SST and from what I understand, the rubbing you experienced would be cured with a little trimming of the front fender and removal (or trimming) of the side steps.

My big debate is which shocks to replace my old 120K+ stockers with "while I'm in there"...

You might want to start a new thread so folks won't have to navigate this eight-year-old thread to help you out.
