1993 F250 fuel tank problems

I have a 1993 Ford F250 with the 7.5 V8 and with dual gas tanks. And i decided to replace the 17 gallon front tank with a 19 gallon tank because i just wanted to have a bigger front tank. Now heres the problem the fuel pump does not seem to want to work with this tank. And i am wondering do i need to get the 19 gallon tank fuel pump. Or can i just not use a 19 gallon tank and should go back to using a 17 gallon. Hope someone can give me some info i could really use it. Thanks

The 19 gallon tank is going to be deeper...so the fuel sender assembly will have to be longer. The one from the 17 gallon tank may 'fit', but it will not go any deeper than it did in the 17 gallon tank and your added 2 gallons of capacity isn't going to do you ANY good.
