Possible to weld on valley pan???
#16
I don't have a turbo... But having used the Blue RTV I can say it's utter crap. It will never fully cure(it's not intended to), so all it does is act like a heavy grease or something. I actually cannot think of an application on an engine you'd use it for. However, maybe it's good for marine applications where you want to keep water out, but not make a semi permanent seal?... No idea.
Blue=no uses for me. (and it sealing your rear diff is fine because it's still really viscous stuff so with a lot of surface area it'd work fine)
I've always used orange or ultra black.
Hope it works out for ya, little stuff like that it really annoying.

when my valley pan had a leak in the passenger corner of it i could not find where it was coming from. at night time with a flash light it appeared i could see a little path of oil running down the seam of the head. i followed it up and took a mirror out and sure enough, it was the valley pan leaking in the rear. not sayin thats your problem but its worth a check. glad to hear you got your first problem figured out!
