Does anyone know a suitable material sold in large enough panels to do a supercab? It's greater than 4' square.

I'm lazy, I just bought one from Dennis Carpenter for 109.00 plus 15.00 for shipping. It has the factory holes in it.

No, it's a weird color but I painted it with a color called "putty" from Homo Depot and it matched perfectly to the original.

Has anyone else found a substituted spray at JoAnn's made by Force Field, same price? Is this the same stuff? The can on the website is different, but the in store stock did reduce after my purchase. Headliner Spray Glue - JoAnn | JOANN
vs What I got. Shield Industries, Inc - Headliner Adhesive - TDS

You may can find Baltic birch or Russian birch in 5'x5' sheets, depending on where you live. But your best bet is to probably get two 1/8" Masonite sheets and double up the layers, overlapping any seams. Use some weldwood contact adhesive to bond the layers.

Traced it with a sharpie and cut it out with a jigsaw with a metal blade.
The metal blade is important it has smaller teeth and won't shred the hardboard.
Next I went to Joann's fabric and bought one yard of black marine grade vinyl. Cost $14.99 a yard. 1 yard is just enough to cover it width wise as long as it's a 54" width.
I wiped down the boards smooth side and laid the vinyl upside down sprayed both sides with headliner spray $19.99 a can. Let it sit for a min put the board flat side on top of the vinyl and laid the board down. Patted the back of the board to make sure it stuck.
Flipped the whole thing over then went over it with a rolling pin. After letting it sit for about 1/2 hour I trimmed the excess vinyl off with a razor blade.
After that I installed her. I still have to buy new screws but she's up and looks damn good for $42.98. I also think it looks way better then the factory style repop ones that are $90.00 plus $60.00 to ship.
I know this is an old post, but it really helped me out, I really appreciate it! Headliner looks great! I was a little too excited when I saw the towel in the background, I thought that was the fabric you were gonna use and I love that print! But the black looks great.

I did this for my crewcab. I used the 1/8" paneling that they typically use for the back of cabinetry.

The panels I cut to fit years ago

Marine grade vinyl

Installed

Whole lid

meow. That’s so clean! I just picked up some 1/8 hardboard. Originally thought I wanted to do a flag headliner but this marine grade vinyl is making me second guess that. Great job!
