2003 Econoline - is the flasher relay in turnsignal switch assembly?

I have a 2003 E-350 and the turnsignals started acting up yesterday. When you engage the turnsignal stalk, the lights flash couple of times and then stop. Re-engaging the the stalk makes it work again, but you can get no flashes or couple of flashes or many flashes ( completely random ). This the same for left and right and hazards.

So this looks like electronics related, like flasher relay. From the schematics it looks like everything flasher related is built into the turnsignal switch assembly and changing it out should solve my problems.

I just wanted a conformation from somebody knowledgeable that this is indeed the case and the flasher relay is not somewhere else. Thanks in advance.

Thank you, sir. You just saved me $60. I ordered the relay and my blinkers are working again

Autozone/Pep-Boys/Advance all carry the relay for about $12.

I got the Motorcraft one from Amazon, $13. I did pay $10 for 2-day shipping, since I was kinda in a hurry, driving without blinkers gets stressful.

The $60 was in reference to the turnsignal switch, that I didn't buy.
