Nice!..Very nice,..and clean too!

From this angle it looks like your machinest may have installed a couple of those valves a little crooked..lesson: never rush a machine-shop LoL!

I can relate to the chip,chip,chip..been so busy this year, I'm just now finding the time to do some old truck fixin.., I have been collecting bits and pieces over the summer.., just need to re-organize and remember where I left off..

I learned a new term this year..it's not multi-tasking anymore..it's the old mind multi-switching..

This year at speed week on the salt flats our team fire slotted one chamber on a set of Brodex heads. We found a shop just east of Salt Lake City that did the repair. He checked the metal hardness, cut out the soft metal - welded up the damaged chamber - re cc'd the chamber - shaved both heads 0.014" to get the warpage out' - located valves in North Carolina had them next day aired to Salt Lake - installed the new valves (cause we warped a few). Charged a fair price for the service and we only lost two days total! That included two 6 hour round trips to the shop (3 each way). There are shops out there who do good work in a timely fashion. It is frustrating to get on the hook with someone who is prone to over promise on workmanship and delivery. The problem with a good shop is they soon get really busy and time lags. # months is too long for any business unless you said take your time. Then all bets are off.

Those are too pretty to use so I guess you are just going to admire them. They do look good.
