Engine vibration @1500 to 2000 rpm

My '01 F250 with a 7.3 has a bad vibe!

Every morning, when the engine is cool and the air temp is cool (about 60F). When cruising @ 35-40mph @ 1500 to 2000 rpm. The engine vibrates ALOT! It also doesn't boost at all. It does this for about 10 minutes or about 5 miles.

When the engine is completely warmed up it OK. When the air temp is warmer it is also OK...

know problems: small exaust leak between header and turbo.

I've changed the EBP sensor.

Anyone care to help ?

Thanks
PYM

I'm due for an oil change, I was supposed to do it this weekend but ran out of time. It's been 5000 miles since the last change.

I was reading up on the UVCH, could this be the problem ? My SES light doesn't turn on, and problem seems temperature related.. but I might be on the wrong track...

I'll change the oil this week and post an update.

if the oil is older it can make cold running hard on the motor and i might make it vibrate. if it needs new oil that will be a cheap test to see if it goes away.
how any miles are on the truck. auto or zf-6?

It has 195k miles, auto tranny.

When it vibrates, is vibrates ALOT and has no power and the turbo doesn't boost at all. It vibrates so much you'd think the truck is falling appart. Once it warms up enought everything is fine, no vibrations, boost & power.

I don't think that oil @ 60degrees F would cause such a problem. If we'd be in the middle of winter at -20F I'd be more into the idea! But still I'll change it this week since it was planned anyway.

Also,

When I have the vibration issues. If I floor it, and get the rpm over 2k, everything is well. The turbo spools up and the vibration stops. Until I lift and drop RPM bellow 2000. Then the vibration resumes....

It sounds like the EBPV is closing for some reason! Could be a bad IAT sensor?

Jim, he can unplug the sensor down on the pedestal correct, to see if it "fixes" the probelm?

also,

Would the EPB sensor/tube, being packed with crud, cause problems running?

I believe it defaults to EOT after coolant reaches temp!
