I'm not dead! I promise. The green beast is just in storage for the winter!

I'm what you might call a shadetree mechanic. Some enjoy working in nice heated garages and such. I just truly enjoy mosquitoes and farmer's tans too much to work on the truck during the winter!

The truck is actually always at my father's place and right now time is a premium for me. I have lots planned for this spring. I will be on the go on it in a month or so. So stay tuned.

In somewhat recent news, I did ask for a lift kit for xmas this year. For some unknown reason my wife didn't buy it for me..........I'm beginning to think she doesn't enjoy these precious things like I do......

But anyways, the truck is not dead, sold, compacted, or disposed of in any way. I know that is the real reason why you were checking in!

I just had a flashback from decades ago! I remember vividly my Mom getting on Dad's case for me coming in pitch black head to toe.

Average of above 70 all week long.......I think it is time to get rolling on my project again!!!!

I've already found a trashed parts truck to take my sawzall to. I am going to fetch me some gas tank equipment this week! Maybe I'll start taking the front clip off........or maybe I should actually finish the truck box........I can already sense I'm not going to get as far as I want this year.

Goals:
(1) Get all gas tank parts. Do NOT cut flex line this time as it is worth $50 new.
(2) Start body work on box. Patch in new panels without destroying the rest of the box.
(3) Don't mention the engine until all above work is done.

Get going! It keeps raining and snowing here-plus I don't have any trucks with me now that I moved. If you start working, at least I can live vicariously through your project.

He will probably surprise us with a truck that is already finished instead of boring us with all the details of the build and depriving us of pics.

Who wants another 60 page thread anyways.

I have a spy shot of where the truck is now. Well, two months ago since I didn't get around to registering and posting it. Everyone needs to PM or e-mail Phil and provide him some motivation for the winter!
