Diesel Fuel Supplement® +Cetane Boost®

Curious,

My neighbor used to be truck driver years ago. He gave me an old bottle of:

Power Service Diesel Fuel Supplement® +Cetane Boost® (In the white bottle)

The seal has been cracked and a little has been used. Is it ok to use this stuff?

There is also a bottle of Marvel's but I'm not keen on the "mystery" part of the title.

Thanks

I've got a few miles under my belt driving these trucks...

The single best thing I have ever put in my diesel fuel tank....

Diesel fuel.

Nothing else.

The stuff smells like paint thinner or something. Is it snake oil?

Diesel Kleen fuel supplement, what he's talking about, is good. It's what I run. Gives me a few more MPG's also.

ULSD is super hard on our injectors. Run a lubricity additive if you can.

Talyn, new pic, I didn't recognize you

I'll run the stuff when I can afford it, luckily I got a bit of it for free

most of us actually over use it, we really should mix it according to the instructions on the label.

Adding too much fuel additive can have negative effects on performance. AKA, lost fuel mileage.

Tell me what is to clean on the fuel side of our injectors?

I run good, clean, fresh, filtered diesel thru my injectors.

It is? Why? What have you seen inside our injectors that leads you to believe that ULSD is "Super hard" on our injectors?

Well as usual somebody shows up and wants to be the know-it-all. Knows everything, is never wrong and constantly wants to argue about it.

Nobody cares about said opinions, the attitude and BS.

You must love marketing hype. I ran diesel kleen for many miles in 2 different trucks. Funny thing is... on the tanks I didn't run it... there was no difference. ZERO. None. Over several thousand miles in 2 different trucks. I don't consider that to be a fluke. I haven't put one drop of diesel kleen or other additive in my current truck and it gets better mpg than either of the previous two did with the fuel additive. Yes my latest truck is a manual and the other two were autos, but if the super duper fuel additive did what it's advertised to my manual fuel mpg would be on par with my previous two autos running the additive. Fact is... it isn't.

In answer to your question. No I wouldn't use either.
