dana 24 transfer 4x4 case

have 68 3/4 t f 250 with dana 24 trasfer case . slides out of hi gear ,coud not get it back in last night, had to come home in lo . why ? possible detent spring broken ? 2nd question . p/u has an aux. transmission bolted to bell housing with the main 4 speed married on the back of, it. aux.box is a2 speed. the name plate reads double torque STE . the rest of the letters are to small to read upside down with a mirror. What is it?

Check over your linkages to the transfer case make sure there not getting hung up on anything or springs missing also check your transfer case mounts they may be going bad allowing it to rattle around and slip out of gear I have a 71 f250 with the 24 t case I was driving around and mine poped out of gear and went to neutral I found out that as I shifted the transmission the shifter hit my t case shifter and made it go to neutral some things to check over
