MY 2000 F250 5.4 IS THROWING A TROUBLE CODE VAF MAF SENSOR I REPLACED THE MAF SENSOR 160.00 BY THE WAY NO FIX PLEASE AND ADVISE WOULD BE GREAT ALSO ITS RUNNING NORMAL UNTIL I DRIVE I THOUGHT IT WAS A FUEL ISSUE BU IS NOT I CHANGER THE PUMP ALSO 350.00 FOR THAT KINDA PISSED ANY THOUGHTS WOULD BE WELCOME

 

Check your wiring to the MAF sensor see if there is a short/corrosion. Do you have stock air filter or aftermarket?

 

Quit randomly throwing parts at it. You need to diagnose it properly. The $500 you've spent would likely have paid for a professional to diagnose and repair the problem. Now, you have $500 of parts you don't need and the only thing you know is that the fuel pump and the MAF sensor wasn't the problem.

 

Can you tell us on the forum what the code number was that you found, and if there are any other codes that may have been stored.

 

jh818 I found the problem after throwing parts at it. The wiring harness to the MAF was corroded due to the salt here in OHIO. I appreciate the help Gents on a good note I was able to return the MAF but I have a new Fuel pump.
