P0278 Cylinder 6 Contribution/Balance Fault . What is this telling me bad injector,bad wiring, or is this a IDM problem.

I'm pretty sure i know the answer to this

 

Probably bad injector, but definately check the wiring first.

Does it have a noticable miss?

 

If the wring and the IDM are not suspect & a compression test is good ,I would then suspect the injector ..

 

I wouldn't say it's a miss but you can feel a rough spot in the idle about ever two seconds

 

I changed the UVCH and pig tails out to the SD style about 3 months ago I'll have to re check my connections.

I have a spare IDM that I'll try for shlits and giggles.
And I'll try my spare CPS just to see if for some reason it helps or moves to a different cylinder

 

I did notice this say I'm going 65 mph and give a little go pedal to pass it will act like it has no power till I really get on it. Im gonna pull the chip tomorrow and go from there

 

Ok i did another CCT and when it gets to that injector and shuts it down you can defiantly tell that the engine doesn't really change that much not like the rest of them.

If the engine doesn't change that much ,its not the injector ...

 

When it does the CCT does it do them 1-8

 

If not the injector then what am I looking at

 

Make sure the Wiring is intact, & Ohm the injector solenoid first ..

 

Will do. I did a buzz test and it passed I also did a WOT run and I normally hit 24 psi I'm down to 18-20psi

How many miles on your injectors?

Have you observed them while the engine is running ?

 

201,xxx not yet I want get to really rip it a part till this weekend just trying to get a list of things to check when I get off. I'm gonna pull the chip before I leave work
