What have we done to our trucks today B.C.?

Part hunted over the weekend and found a new dash, door panels and steering wheel for my '79. Researched some more about swapping in a '91 351w from a donor truck I should be picking up this coming weekend.
Now just waiting on the last couple parts for my Holley 4160 to come in, nothing like a 4 week back order to kill progress on projects
Still on the hunt for a rear drive shaft. It's got to be some rare length because out of a dozen 4x4 dents I've check it's quite a bit longer then those

I went junk yard pickin, am looking for plugs and harness for trailer lights/brakes. plus a few other things that I might discover. . Sad most of the wreckers here on the Island no longer have older model trucks . mostly 99 and newer. so parts are getting slim here now. But the nice weather makes the hunt nice .

Month ago put in a couple seals on the left front axle. I had a seal that was toasted. It seems that seal helps keep the axle from being wobbly. I had a horrid noise when in 4wd. Thought it was about time to fix the problem.
That fixed a bit of the noise. On to the front driveshaft. Thought it might be a ujoint till I pulled it. Turns out there is a little thing called a ball kit in the cardan joint. It was basically cooked. All back together and runs nice and quiet.
Picked up a used Scan Gauge II this afternoon. Next step is to add the gauges I want to monitor.

Since the FICM last year it's been good. I did the blue spring this summer. No engine issues at the moment. Spent some bucks on ujoints, ball kit and some seals for one axle. Over all I'm pretty happy with it.
My wife is sometimes after me to get something newer. Have not seen anything that would make me want to do it.
