1993 Ranger Transmissionn

OK I'm trying to get my transmission out of my 93 Ranger XL 3.0 LTR. But the quick disconnect is all messed up. the plastic ring will not go in to release the hydraulic. How can I get this off? Also do I really need to remove the clutch master cyliner fromthe cluch pedal. That seems like a lot off extra work.
Thanks;
Paul

You should be able to pull the ring off without damging it. If you can get it off you just need to get some carb or brake cleaner and some WD40. What had more than likely happened is there is dirt and crap in it nhot allowing the ring to disconnect from the slave cylinder.

Hey thanks. The ring is damged (from before). Is there a replacement ring that I can get to put back on? Also do I really need to remove the clutch cylinder from the clutch pedal?
