radiator repair with super glue and baking soda
I cracked the radiator (the plastic side) of a non-F150 Ford (Edge to be exact) while removing the radiator fan. I read about plastic weld with a high wattage soldering iron, but the location of the crack does not allow access. I also read about superglue and baking soda trick. Does it really work? According to internet, superglue and baking soda react chemically, and generate high heat, locally melting and bonding plastic. Does anyone have a firsthand or second hand experience with this trick?
