Just changed the oil and now the oil pressure takes a few seconds to build. It might be a failed check valve in the oil filter although in 34 years of working on my '65 I have never had one fail. Anyone had this experience? Steve

Oil again and noticed that the oil filter manufacturer had started making the filter without the check valve, the explanation I got was that the newer engines don't require them seeing that there already installed on the engine block oil galley. Yep....I knew a guy who worked at the Glidden paint factory north of Dallas and he said they'd run 1000 cans of a color with the Glidden label and then 1000 cans of the same color, same everything, with some other company's label.
