Man...4WD must make a HUGE difference in fuel economy with these trucks. I get about 240 miles out of each tank (I usually fill up around 1/4 tank, old habit from trucks with bum fuel gauges). I average 18 to 20 mpg in town/mixed and about 23 mpg pure highway. Gotta love 3.55 2wd for cruising .

Something else to consider is that not only does the 2WD and 4WD make a difference, and the rear end being 3.55 vs. 4.10, but the size and weight of the trucks make a difference too. I would certainly hope that a 2WD, standard cab, automatic trans truck with 3.55 rear gears would get better mileage than a crew cab, long bed, 4x4, with 4.10 rear gears would. I just think it is amazing to consider that I can drive my CCLB 4x4 F-350 and get the same or better mileage than I used to in a F-150 with a 5.4 or my previous work vehicle, an E-250 with a 4.6. Granted the Mod motors aren't known for their fuel economy, but now I am driving a truck that weight 7,000 + lbs, seats six, can tow a house, and carry upwards of 2,700lbs in the bed, and can return around 20MPG!? I call that impressive. That being said, I am not getting that kind of economy right now running short trips with bad injectors and a poorly designed exhaust, but I still believe it has the potential to do 20 MPG more or less.

Ate you guys topping off so you can see the fuel or just till it clicks off? I did the tank vent mod on my front tank so I fill it to the very top for consistency. Best I have seen was a little over 20 which I think was Just before ULSD.

19 gal front tank and 18 gal rear on our (stockstuff).

Can get 22 mpg going down the highway if you keep it under 65. suspect it will do a bit better if you slow down to 60. The downpipe and the 6637 were good for an extra MPG but we are now just getting into the 'heavy use season'...more in OCT if we can keep accurate mileage numbers.

That's 1000 miles, filling up with about 50 gallons (usually have 6-8 left over), so closer to 20

Wow. My tanks must be extra small. Just filled both tanks yesterday n I put 20 gallons in combined. Both tanks were at 1/4 tank. I only get about 160 miles per tank

I managed 19.5mpg In my wifes CCLB Dually. I drove from Panama city, FL to Mayfield, KY. On just the factory tanks I got just short of 300 miles each. I had to set the cruise at 60 and leave it alone. Mods are intake and exhaust and that is the best I've done so far.

How do people drive that slow? I can't take it!

I'm usually doing 70-75 MPH. With a camper. And a boat or trailer.

I guess I should be happy with 12-14 MPG.

It was difficult to say the least. I hate traffic, I usually speed up to get around it but I held out just to see how many miles I could get.

I get 20-22 with 4.10's and 285/75/16's.

I'd rather have the 4.10's than the 3.55's in this truck.

I like my 3.55's with 285 tires, but if I ever wanted to go up to 315's or bigger it would need 4.10's or 3.73s
